Take your measurements

To find your correct size, use a tape measure and take these measurements. Stand with your back straight in front of a mirror, to make sure that you measure correctly and that the tape measure is kept level. Bust Measure under your armpits, around your shoulder blades, and over the fullest part of your bust. Don't pull the tape measure too hard. For fitting a bra, you also need the measurement just under your bust. Waist Measure around your natural waistline. This is the narrow part of your waist, about an inch above your navel. Relax and breath out before you measure. Hip The hip should be measured around its fullest part (about 8 inch. below your waist). Inseam This is the measurement from your ankle to your groin, when you stand with your legs straight. If possible, ask a friend to help you. This can also be measured on a pair of pants with the proper length.

Suit jackets, blazers and coats

Men's US sizes for suit jackets, coats and blazers are based on the chest width and your height. When you measure your chest, you should stick a finger between the measuring tape and your body. The result simply equals your jacket size. Depending on your height, you then have to choose between short (S), regular (R) or long (L).

Getting the right shirt fit

- Check the cuff size. When you button the cuff, it shouldn't be able to slip over your wrist. - Make sure the shirt fits properly over your shoulders. The shoulder seam should be right where your shoulder ends. - Tuck the shirt and stretch your arms over your head. The shirt should be long enough not to get untucked. - Bend your arm. The shirt sleeve should be long enough so that the cuff doesn't slide up your forearm. Finding the right size for a dress shirt can be a little difficult. In US and Britain, Dress shirts have two different measurements, your neck size and your sleeve length, both in inches. When you have your neck measurement, round it up to the nearest whole or half size. For example, if your neck measures 16.3, choose a 16.5 collar. Add an extra inch to your sleeve measurement, and round this up to the nearest even number. There are also different fits, Slim, Athletic, Regular and Full. Slim is tight around the chest and sides. The athletic fit (also called tailored fit) is tighter at the waist, but leaves more room for the chest. The regular is the standard fit and quite loose, and the full size the loosest.

Find your body measurements

Use a tape measure and the help of a friend to take the following measurements. When you're done, you can easily find out your US size. Neck size Use the tape to measure around the base of your neck, where it meets your shoulders. Put a finger between your neck and the tape measure for a more loose fit collar. Sleeve Bend your elbow and put your hand on your hip. Ask your friend to measure from middle of back of your neck, around shoulder and elbow to wrist bone. Chest width This measurement should be taken beneath your armpits, around the widest part of your chest and shoulder blades. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal, and don't pull to tight or hold your breath while measuring. Waist Put the tape around your natural waistline, which should be close to your bellybutton. Put one finger between the tape and your body before you measure. Inseam This is measured between your groin and your lower ankle. You might find that is most easily measured on a pair of pants that already suit you.

Bra Cup & Band Size Chart

To find your band size, measure around your body, just underneath your breasts. The measuring tape should be horizontal, and quite snug. The measurement in inches is your band size. If it's an odd number, e.g. 31, your correct size could be both 30 and 32. To find your cup size, measure around the fullest part of your breasts. Take this bust measurement and subtract the band measurement, e.g. if you measure 31 underneath your breasts, and 34 around, the result is 34-31 = 3. Use the result to find your cup size here: Cup size = Bust size - Band size: manufacturers. 0 = AA <1 = A 1 = B 2 = C 3 = D 4 = DD 5 = DDD/E 6 = F 7 = G 8 = H Below you will find a bra size converter, to convert to international sizes. The first chart converts the band size, and the second converts the cup size. You will also find a bra sizing guide, to find your correct US size. Please note that these conversion table only give an estimate to your bra size, as sizes may vary between different bra manufacturers.
Use this table to convert your cup size into international sizes. Use this table to convert your bra band size into international sizes. Japanese bra sizes are the same as European sizes, but the cup size are often written first, e.g. C75 instead of 75C.
